The National Museum of Art in Stockholm was looking for a good tour guide system which could serve people with hearing impairement as well as those with normal hearing. The aim was to make a visit to the museum more informative and enjoyable for all. Museum tour guide staff also wanted to be able to talk to visitors without needing raising their voices such that it became uncomfortable and detrimental to their health.
The National Museum of Art decided on a wireless tour guide system. Due to the extra high output power of the pocket transmitters in the system chosen, it could be used with both earpiece/headset and neckloop for those with hearing aids and offered a very versitile and flexible solution.
The tour guide system has helped to increase visits to the museum generally and has been received well by those with normal hearing and hearing impairement.
